PC [Bug] Local multiplayer community center -- player two gets stuck

After finishing all the bundles, the host entering the town triggers the community center cutscene (for both players) where you receive the trophy and Joja leaves town. After the cutscene ends, the host is able to continue playing but the other player is stuck, seemingly inside a wall. The player can't move, use items, or tab through the inventory.

Where was the stuck player at the time of the cutscene starting? Were they entering town themselves?

This happened twice, first while the other player was arriving at the island, the second time when they were entering town also.
