I’m going to post it here in hopes someone sees this and fixes it.
I just started playing on the Xbox game pass. My native language is Japanese so naturally I selected Japanese in the language setting, just to have the game go to a black screen after the intro. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling few times didn’t work. So I decided maybe just maybe if I played it in English it might work? To my surprise it worked! I even went to the title screen after it saved, and changed to Japanese and still works! But my character and farm names are in English which is odd in the dialogs.
