PC [BUG] How do you get people to come to the Ginger Island resort?

I am not sure why but I have never seen anyone on the island I have waited by the beach many days where it is sunny both on Ginger island and the mainland and waited past 11:00, when they are supposed to arrive, however no one ever seems to come. I have checked that it is open and I am sure I have done everything right but still no one arrives. What am I doing wrong?

You have unlocked the resort?

That should be it. After that they randomly show up or do not, and they never leave the area of the resort.

It is possible that so far you have been unlucky? How long in game days has it been since you unlocked the resort, do you know?

not really I'll just wait and pray but thanks for the conformation I thought I might be doing something wrong

Is nobody ever there? That sounds wrong. Since I have opened the resort, some villagers have been there every sunny day.

The selection of villagers is randomized, but there is always someone.

are you playing with mods?
