PC [BUG][HELP] After 1.5 update Willy is "Gone fishing" and I can't enter his Shop anymore

Hi there,
just like the title said, I can't enter Willys shop anymore. After the update, I got a letter from Willy. I can't recall the exact phrasing but it was along the lines, that his back of the shop is open now and I should check it out. When I tried to do so, he was "Gone Fishing" even though he should be in his shop. At first I didn't though much of it, but it's been 2 weeks now and he even exits his shop at 5PM like he should. I just can't enter anymore. I'm in year 4.
I searched the forums and even other sides, but didn't found any answer on why it happened or how to fix it.
I'm also already on 1.5.1 and the game language is english.
This occurs in Single- and Multiplayer.

No, I'm not using any mod.
But it's a save I played on with a friend and when he stopped playing, I took over the file and changed the Characters, so that I could play with mine.
Not sure wheather this has an impact on this :s

Exactly what was done to take it over and play with your character instead of his? I have a serious, distinct suspicion that this process is what created your error.

I looked up a tutorial, and changed his Character and mine in the code, so that I am the "main" character.
This was in Year 2 though and didn't cause any trouble until the update.

To make it more specific:
I used "Sublime" and copied my character in his spot and vice versa.
Afterwards I was able to play on my character with the save on my PC and he still could join on his character.

I'm having the same issue. I think it has to do with starting in year 2. I am hoping it will fix itself when next spring rolls around. For now I'm warping into Willy's shack.

My comment:

I already had code in my save folder for mail that I was going to get for tomorrow.
Looked like this: <mailForTomorrow /><mailbox><string>robinWell</string></mailbox>

I copied the above code right after the robinWell code with no spaces:
<mailbox><string>spring_2_1</string></mailbox>

I loaded my game and I had mail from Willy that said he had come back from fishing and to meet him at the beach. I went to the beach and it triggered the jumpscene where he gifts me a bamboo pole.
