Context, I speedrun stardew and it happened during a run so it's in a form a twitch clip
This is 100% visual bug and you don't get free tuna nor any other item you can do this with. This has a small time window for it to work but it's not frame perfect.
We assume this works because the Chest is a BigCraftable, with an index of 130 in the BigCraftableInformation file while the Tuna has an index of 130 in the ObjectInformation file. So if you pick up a BigCraftable while harvesting any crop instead of showing the crop it will show the corresponding item ObjectInformation that shares the same index number. For example a Cheese Press will look like a horseradish.
