Android Bug/Exploit at museum on Mobile

I am currently playing on Android mobile version 1.6.15.

There is a bug at the muesum where if you are donating and item or rearranging the items. If you constantly tap on an item after you close out of placing items you can collect the item tapped. You are than able to re-donate the item collected.

I currently do not have a completed collection. You do not get any rewards again for any item or milestone that gives that.

I reported this issue a while back but it seems it wasn't fixed, it doesn't technically have too many ramifications for gameplay as you eventually do have to go out and donate everything anyway, but I guess it does allow you to get the rewards from certain items that have specific rewards tied to them, then gain benefits from the item itself (like donating an ancient seed, getting one back + the recipe, then getting the original one back and crafting it to plant another)

I also lost an item that way.

I found basalt and was going to donate it immediately. With the basalt selected, I accidentally tapped on another mineral and it replaced it. When I closed the donation menu, the basalt was neither in the museum nor in my inventory. I could redonate the other mineral.
I checked with the checkup the next day and it showed basalt as not found, not donated.
