I've found that during the fishing minigame at the fall fair in year 1 when you catch a fish if you hit square just as the fish touches the player and disappears after being pulled out of the water another fish will immediately bite and start the bar minigame to reel it in. This essentially allows you to get 2 fish each time you get a bite, without waiting for a second bite. During the second bite the fishing rod disappears, and does not reappear until after that fish is landed or lost and the player performs another action, meaning if you don't do anything else after the player remains in the reeling animation facing the same way, but can still move. I have tried to replicate this in general fishing, and in the winter ice fishing event, but to no avail.
