PC [BUG] [CRASH] game crashes when reconnecting audio device

While playing the game I use a pair of headphones where the cable is a little broken. as a result my headphones sometimes disconnect from my computer, to fix this I have to unplug the cable and plug it back in, this is quite easy to do since i can disconnect it at my headphones so i don't have to crawl under my desk each time. When i reconnect my headphones the game freezes and stops responding most of the time, sometimes i get to keep playing but without sound until i restart my game (which is fair enough)

No error text and/or error logs.
