Solved [BUG] Can't chop the hidden log with gold axe

Looks like I have to report a bug, after all these years of great play. I can't chop up the hidden log that blocks the entrance to the Secret Woods. I upgraded to steel axe and I was told I had to upgrade my axe. So I kept fighting monsters until I finally had a gold axe. Now it's still telling me I have to upgrade. I've waited to the next day and tried again. I've hit it from all sides. Still tells me I have to upgrade. I've checked multiple times to make sure it's an axe and to make sure it's gold. Other players are telling me no, no one has to have an iridium axe to chop that log. So now I'm stuck. No more Stardew Valley.

Never mind! My IT wife fixed it. She told me to reboot my computer, and now it works.

I've never had to reboot my pc before after upgrading tools, so I'm going to leave this report and solution here until a moderator decides to delete it.
