PC [BUG] Cannot fish 1.5.1

When I try to fish, I get the sound that fish is biting, and the "!" appears on top of my character, but pressing mouse button, or the action button, does nothing. The minigame doesn't launch, and I don't get any trash either, the game simply does not register me reacting to fish biting. This happens every time, with all my savegames.
I have reinstalled the game several times. I'm not playing with any mods. I'm playing single player, my language is english.

Maybe there's a problem with your mouse or it's lagging and thinking you clicked too late?

Sadly no, my keyboard action button (x) does not work either. With iridium rod, fish bites almost constantly, so I resorted to spam clicking to see if it was lag, but none of it registered. With everything else, the action button, both on mouse and keyboard, work without problem. It's just the fishing that does not.
