PC [BUG] 1.5.6 can't choose a profession

I've updated my game to 1.5.6 when it came out earlier today and I've finally managed to get to level 5 of the foraging skill but when I go to choose the profession I want it doesn't let me pick and won't show up again til I exit the save file and restart it. Its happened 3 times now and I'm just getting more annoyed at it. I've been using a controller and first two times it happened I thought okay the arrow buttons is probably the equivalent to the esc button on the keyboard that they fixed in this patch, but on the third try I remember to use the analogue stick and it still refused to let me pick a profession.

I've had the same problem. I leveled up several skills to level 10 in my multiplayer game today and was not able to choose any professions using either the analog stick or the arrow buttons on my controller. I tried to reset the skills using the statue in the sewers, which prompted me to choose but again it bypassed my choice. When the new day started I had subsequently lost my level 5 professions as well and can no longer reset those professions using the statue because the game will no longer recognize that there is anything to reset. FWIW I'm currently playing with 77 mods but have had no issues of this sort up until now, and I did level up a skill to level 10 earlier in the week and successfully chose a profession. I'm really hoping I don't have to completely ditch this save file that I've put tons of hours into.

Update: I waited until the next day and disconnected my controller right before going to bed. If you use the mouse/trackpad you can choose a profession but it's quite difficult. There's a very small margin for error on when the mouse will be successfully "moused over" your profession choice. This is definitely an issue that the game now has in gamepad mode. It's been a minute since I played with mouse and keyboard so I don't remember if the margin for error used to be so small, although I find it hard to believe. That said, it's doable.

I've figured out the cause of this. We'll put out a hotfix tomorrow to solve the issue.

So I'm having a slightly similar problem. Now we have figured out that if we use the mouse on the PC to select the professions it will work. However, We cannot select ANY of the farmhands.
