I remember him being bummed out because, when it rains, people stay home, and people at home are not buying at his shop.

Which isn't very logical for a grocery store.

If it's raining but I might postpone shopping one day, but I'll need the same groceries.

And if I'm really out of something, I'd rather walk to the nearest store even if it's more expensive. Pierre is near the other houses, Joja is on the other side of town.

I don't see him losing money when it rains.

My wife just came home today saying she is very hot. It is actually winter, 7° out ; but yesterday was -1°.
