Being able to incubate the thunder egg that i found in the mines and it will be like the dinosoar and make 1 a week and it thould be a dark purple with yellow stripes

But what kinda resources would it produce? More Thunder Eggs? Or something else?
Thunder eggs would have to be made more useful for that to make sense (mayo, recipes, crafting...), but if we're going with the Slime Hutch type idea then they could work as is, as long as the chance of getting one was fairly small.
Besides that, stones, ores, and minerals could all be drops, but slimes already do that so it ends up being redundant. If they're hatching into thunderbirds, it could be another alternative to battery crafting, and if a new animal is getting added, at that point I think you might as well add new thunderbird specific drops as well. Maybe feathers?

A bit of a different idea, since there was some talk of slime. Why not had a new slime egg that was made with the Petrified Slime and could give us an egg for those giant slimes.
Another use for a mineral was allowing us to change the fairy in the fairy box by using fairy stones in the anvil.

Thunderbirds, i love it! And they only drop Iridium quality Duck Feathers aside from the eggs
