Question Been considering an NPC...

Basically the title as-is. I've been sitting on NPC ideas for quite awhile now, and I feel like it's finally time to unleash that creativity upon the world. Problem is, I dunno how to do that, and I dunno if MissCoriel's NPC Creator works anymore. So I figured I'd reach out here and see if folks can point me towards tutorials or anything that can help me out. While I got ideas that would expand into new maps and datable NPCs,, I'd be happy just to get one working in-game to begin with. The bigger stuff can come later; just making something that WORKS is all I wanna learn right now.

I would recommend these two links, one of which is the Stardew Modding Wiki's guide to creating custom NPCs, while the other is the normal Stardew Wiki's guide. The modding wiki's version is more beginner friendly and easier to follow when you're actually doing the stuff, but the normal Stardew Wiki has a lot of detail that you might appreciate.
