Fixed in the upcoming Stardew Valley 1.6.16, which will automatically fix any invalid animal tracking like that when you load the save. Thanks for reporting it!

@Pathoschild when is the new update scheduled to release? I couldn't find any info online. I haven't touched Stardew in over a year since all of my animals disappeared, and I am very eager to get back to my farm. Edit: I play on the Switch, does this update fix the bug on all platforms or just windows?

@deezyfarm There's no release date for 1.6.16 yet.
The fix applies to all platforms (including Switch). Animals which already disappeared are probably gone unfortunately, but you'll be able to resume using affected barns/coops normally in 1.6.16 and it shouldn't happen to any new animals.

Thank you! Since 1.7 is rumored to be released soon, I assume that the problem will be fixed in no time. Feeling excited to come back and start grinding again.

Hi! I want to report the same bug/issue we encountered on our coop save, we are on the four corners farm with 8cabins and players 6 of them are using pc/steam and 2 of them using ios via ip address. We are on our 2nd year and we have 1 barn and 1 coop. We encoutered the bug when one of our coplayer uses robin to move the barn and suddenly after a few days the animals on the barn vanished and same with the others we cannot buy any more animals for the barn because it was full of animals.
