Ooooh the cafe and bakery in one idea is perfect and so modern! Maybe a post CC addition like the movie theater. It would be a great hangout for the teens too young for the saloon. Even Jas and Vincent and later

could go after school for a treat. I love Caroline and Jodi working there, at least part time. Maybe Marnie too on her so many days and hours off from work staring at her microwave or dresser lol. Even Kent might enjoy something constructive to do with his time since he always says he wishes he had more structure in his day and doesn’t know what to do with himself and they might help soothe his PTSD/depresision a bit. Oh and poor Shane needs a job if you choose CC route. It would be non alcoholic so better than him tempted by the saloon as the only real hangout. Loads of possibilities! I doubt it would come to fruition by CA with how busy he is with everything else, but perfect for a talented modder to create!

ETA: Yikes this could put poor Gus out of business though, and he is one of the sweetest characters in SDV! Though most adults will still enjoy an occasional beer/wine or two.

Just a suggestion

Linus is a naturalist. He likes living mostly in solitude and living off the land. Plus he always says no one likes his ways. He’s always uncomfortable joining in festivities, feels he doesn’t fit in or belong. He is basically ignored or shunned by many in SDV. Someone even destroys his tent, spray paints and throws rocks at it.

Yes he definitely likes just his own company out in nature. I had hopes that he'd move to my farm in the cut scene with him and Robin when he's found foraging near her house, but sadly no. Makes me sad that people harrass him and his tent too.

I do like your idea @Old Man Tab of Linus working as a waiter at the bakery cafe too. You never know :)

If there should be a bakery (a good idea), there should also be a butcher to buy meats from and cook dishes with it. I mean, come on. We can catch and cook fish, but no hearty steak or juicy bacon burger for a hungry farmer? That needs to change.

I believe CA has stated that he wanted to keep butchery out of the game. Especially with you being able to give each animal on your farm a name, I don't personally see that being added. But there are definitely a few mods that add that sort of thing.

I think it's difficult to change Pelican Town as many mods would be broken.

I don't think mods being broken is a justification for not making a change. Mod makers are given early access to updates already so that they can update their mods to align with the updates to the game. If they don't want to update the mod, that's on the maker of the mod.
