Anyone in a Multiplayer farm, can play on their multiplayer farm at any time

Hi! Would love if there could be an option for Multiplayer, that allows all people present to play on the farm when they want to, even if the host is not there. This would be good for friends who want to build a farm together but live in different time zones so can't always make the time to play at the same time :)

But that kinda defeats the purpose of playing multiplayer. The point is to play together, at that point just play your own save, respectfully.

Like caring for their farm when the other's unavailable and such?
Seems like a good idea.
Maybe the saves could be updated when the other goes on that server again.

It being an option would also help, so both/all can decide if they want it like that or not.
That must be done at creation, of course.

There's just an issue of trust, though, as some who may not be trustworthy, could use that to do bad stuff to the farm, when no one's looking.
But that's the risk of choosing such way to play multiplayer, then.

i don't know if it's possible or doable from the team's perspective, but it'd be nice for some who'd lose their host for a while or forever(people could stop playing it suddenly).

This is just my thoughts, i don't play multiplayer, so i just thought about how it'd look like, and what good reasons there are to have such option.

I feel that it would be disrupt the natural flow of progression. Imagine logging on and you see your friend has completed the community center. You're not even playing the game anymore, you're just there. There will also be conflicts, like events and birthdays, if your friend plays without you and moves past a birthday, you'll have to wait a year to give a gift, or maybe you need the stardrop from the fall grange display, and your friend goes alone, you'll have to wait until next year to get certain items. Once again, play your own save.

Still don't see the issue, cuz it's each person's choice.
YOU don't want it, others might want it.
It's not for you, it's not for me, but it's for others.
With your logic, people should also just play games you like.

With multiplayer, you always need to work as a team, regarding choices ingame, so if one cannot do that with some people, then multiplayer isn't good with them.
You have a very limited way of thinking here.

I thought the point of MULTIplayer was to play with other people is it not? If you wanna play by yourself then have your own save. You're telling me that you want to implement an option to progress without your group/friend. My logic is not for people to play the games I like, the point of playing together is to experience the game together. If you're gonna play without your partner(s) then play by yourself. If anything, have 2 separate worlds if you wanna progress without your friend and compare with each other how well you're doing.
You haven't thought this through enough before posting.

But doing something in advance, be it for themselves or the other(s), or with the host no longer coming to a friends server anymore, would help.
I'm NOT talking about playing a complete singleplayer game on a multiplayer server, there are more reasons to be able to do this, is my point.

I have thought about this, and mentioned these reasons, so i HAVE thought before posting.

Now please try taking the time to understand my point first.

As for the logic part, it's about how you're against this option, while others COULD use it.

No no, I understand where you're coming from, but essentially what you're suggesting is single player, kind of like a minecraft type alternative. But I just don't see how you could play stardew this way. There's something to do everyday, and if you miss a couple you'd be pretty behind, and also I just don't see many people using it. Like I've said, multiplayer is meant to played with other people, if you're just gonna log on and do something just go play minecraft smp with your friends instead.

It's no singleplayer if it's just a bit on the multiplayer farm... stop calling it singleplayer!
"I just don't see..." that's normal, that people see playstyles differenly, but you only look at it as singleplayer, which is NOT the case!
If all you see is "play multiplayer farms in singleplayer", then i don't know what else to reply with anymore... that after the "i understand where you're coming from".
I don't even play online, yet i see how people could use this option. (hint: not as complete singleplayer thing)

Well, i tried, have fun.
