You can input a seed on any version, but the seeds are platform-specific - that is, a given seed will give you different results on different platforms. And I don't think many seeds have been identified for consoles. Someone was starting a collection of Switch seeds, just by brute forcing numbers and noting the results, I think.Ancient seed
Neh, I play on console, and no seeds there, it's only possible to choose a number on PC I think?
Didn't think it was possible on consoles. But tried to create a new save, and see it's possible to insert a seed number under advanced options. But little is known I suppose, because you can't easily check with a bot program or whatever, like people probably can on PC.You can input a seed on any version, but the seeds are platform-specific - that is, a given seed will give you different results on different platforms. Might be under settings?Didn't think it was possible on consoles. But tried to create a new save, and see it's possible to insert a seed number under advanced options. But little is known I suppose, because you can't easily check with a bot program or whatever, like people probably can on PC.
I don't see a way to check the seed if my actual save either, which could have been useful for others, since it had many red cabbage in year 1, and I was able to complete the CC without building a barn![]()
Nothing there either.Might be under settings?
You need some kind of external seed cracker program to get your world seed, once you have started a game. There is a Switch one, but I don't know if it has been updated for 1.6 yet. There is not an in-game way to show it.Nothing there either.
Thanks. Likely impossible on consoles then, but no big deal. You need some kind of external seed cracker program to get your world seed, once you have started a game. There is a Switch one, but I don't know if it has been updated for 1.6 yet. There is not an in-game way to show it.
