Am I the only one who is afraid of the game ?

Am I the only one who is afraid at night or on rainy/stormy days? Some places really freak me out, like the forest in the west, or the cemetery. It's strange because Stardew Valley is a relaxing game, but it's so immersive that it can become scary.

I think because I freaked myself out enough times in Minecraft while underground or during thunderstorms, before ever playing Stardew that I'm mostly OK with Stardew's thunderstorms. But they're not my favorite part of the game, I could do without the lightning strikes thank you!

I find it a little frightening but in a good way, if that makes sense? Just frightening and creepy enough to be more exciting and immersive, without actually scaring me.

The first time I saw the easter egg of the Ancient Doll jumping out of the TV I was genuinely spooked.
There are some very creepy things going on in pelican town. I try to ignore them cause I like the visible part of the game. All of the rest can stay in the creepy abyss that hovers over its peaceful, dreamy pixelated world. lol! Some people like the haunted lore, me I prefer the peaceful facade of a quaint little pixelated town and pretend the haunted lore is incapable of popping that protective bubble of peace and tranquility!

Moral of the story don’t turn children into doves and keep the cuties you create with your pixelated spouse. They are worth it! And then the doll won’t haunt you. 😊

Been there with the random crashes when raining. They are quite realistic when your focused on other tasks like wow when did that irl storm just start? Oh! I’m in Stardew land lol! I guess with climate change I’ve been hypersensitive abut irl storms right now living in the US

Also can we say big foot! I’m usually in the tranquility of the secret woods or west cindersap when they come. And so not expecting that tranquility bubble to pop and there that thing is. Some people never see it but I see it multiple times per save. Bad luck, just like my playthroughs lately. Haven’t been having a decent play through for month lol!
