I purchased the game through Steam many moons ago and played quite a bit (there and other platforms). I decided today to start into it again but with mods. I found some on the Nexus (?) and followed the instructions (I thought). When I try to launch the game I get an error window that looks like old school c:/ language... I deleted everything in that folder and then used ModDrop to try again. Same problem.
The top of the box says "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stardew Valley\StardewModdingAPI.exe
It says error resolving assembly: System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\
common\Stardew Valley\smapi-internal'
And a lot of other stuff, roughly 15 lines worth. then it says "Game has ended. Press any key to exit.
I have uninstalled, restarted, reinstalled and nothing works to even get the base game to play. Any tips?
