Solved a winter mystery

after triggered the krobus cut scene i was waiting for a message to tell me go beat the bush. No message came so i missed the opportunity getting the magnifying glass and all the secret notes. I tried to enter the bus stop during winters later in hope to trigger the event again. but it did not work. please some one to advise me what should i do to obtain the magnifying glass. thank!

I have had the cutscene and i'm going to the bush at the right times and shaking it,
but nothings working what do I do?
