I'd been out of Minecraft for a while as my gameplaying is vibe-based and the MCVibes weren't hitting. But with the recent change in updating schedule, a few things were added which rekindled some interest.

Of course I didn't do any of them. That being my habitual if not preferred method of existence.

Instead I'm doing my typical things and am at the point of grabbing some Eyes of Ender and having a looksee for the a stronghold. My general checklist:

• Find 2 Iron and shear beds offa sheps
• Find a good southern exposure for slanty shader lighting
• Make pumpkin pie farm
• Find various woods to build slantyhouse
• Plunder sunken ships for treeeaaayyyyyzhuuurrreeee (I gotta be me!)

• Grab some villagers and trade for Emeralds, and those for Diamond Armor and Weapons (this time I traded Clay for my Emerald overload)
• Go to Nether for nether wart and XP and most importantly: shroomlights!

and then put off finding the stronghold as I enchant some stufs and make some potions and junk. I'm there now. The ender dragon can....... wait.

maybe until the End Update.

Oooo this is so pretty, love your work. The way you have built your roof is very cool, I've never seen that.

I've never thought of a southern aspect for slanty slider shading, now I'm going to have to try it :)

It makes me want to play Minecraft again just to find a cute little southern facing forest on the ocean and build a little pumpkin and wheat farm and cottage.

I suck at Minecraft and don't really like it anywyas but its always fascinating how much people can personalise there property. Like Gardening Spirit said it's a awesome roof you have but that farm is also great. Wish I had the creativity for this lol.

The one thing I've found to kill any interest in Minecraft is trying to build some big, elaborate thing like you'll see many youtubers do. I don't have the creativity for that stuff and I strongly prefer to do everything in survival mode because I need that constraint to feel like I'm doing something interesting. I will very rarely test an idea in Creative first but with the lack of constraints there, my brain goes completely blank with immediate access to everything. LOL everything begets nothing.

Instead build a small structure for a house. I went super small for one build, giving each thing (potions, enchanting, kitchen, storage, villagers) its own little house including the bedroom. Well a bedhouse I suppose, that part turned out the worst. But the rest worked really well, each being a tiny achievable one-room build with a (very) slightly different theme. Make each piece small and it ends up working nicely with nothing feeling overwhelming.

I can't for the life of me survive in survival mode lol. I could probably build a house and get to a decent point of progress if I really tried but I've never built a house in survival mode In my short life.

What mysteries await wrapped in the distant mists of a Jungle Island?

Well sure but that's not what we're really here for. Instead we're here to jump!

Feather Falling IV, best enchantment! We'll see what funthings I can find lurking beneath the Jungle's roots...

Honestly the best way to play minecraft, I also go back to the game periodically when I find myself actually having the time and interest to do so, but it's kind of been on the backburner lately.

I have one large world I like to make farms in and play on but what usually gets me back into the '2 week minecraft phase' is starting up a server with friends that inevitably quickly dies and leaves me wanting a little more, or seeing a new update as you yourself said

Well it was time for a bitta adventure so I set out to find an underground portal. There was some Deep Dark in the area but luckily not too much and I didn't see any sculk shriekers so annoying Warden avoided. Found this though:

Looks legit, might as well jump in, eh?

Found this guy flying around, occasionally annoying his minions. I'm not one to break with traditions so I did the same but yeah I may have worn out my welcome as our host knocked me so high in the air that even Feather Falling IV boots couldn't save me. This is why you put a bed in the Portal room.

I may have chopped him a few too many times 'cuz he got all moody and stormed off:

You know, keeping your temper is often a better way to deal with adversity but what do I know about being a dragon other than I love GOLD!

Also dragons are apparently made of like 77% experience, did you know that? Once you let all that red out, they're mostly yellow and green on the inside!

The rest is apparently black. And packaged in a neat shape for household display.

Surely there's something else to find here, right?

Hm, there's a serious lack if infrastructure investment in this place which explains why nobody seems to be living here. The tree froot tastes good though!

Yeah I've had quite enough of this place.

Nothing better than emerging from days underground while it's still light out. Don't forget to mark the location of your portal to hell so you can visit anytime someone sends you a postcard! These are the things your parents always forget with their bogus "life lessons" and whatnot. Here you see convenient riparian access which makes this world so pleasant to live in.

But yeah there's nothing quite like arriving home again. I know my local vendors were all concerned for my wellbeing as their stern "Huhmmmmmmms" contained an unusual stressful edge. Yeah OK it was raining when I left so that could also be rhinitis, quite the deadly disease if you're a Villager.

The best thing about home ownership is decorating and now I have a slightly squashed egg as a centerpiece (I may have sat on it on the boat ride home). Come by anytime and I'll tell you how many times I died getting it!

Wait but a Stardew map in Minecraft would hit hard! it would take forever though, especially with the mines. and the skull caverns. And the quarry mines. And texture packs to make phantoms flying dolls and spawn them in Lewis’s basement.

A lot of people have made Farm and parts of Town maps though I don't think I've seen a full version of the entire connected main set of "overworld" maps, only sections. The best Stardew envisioning in another media is probably the Lego one made by a Forum member which has made the rounds at Lego shows and CA has viewed personally. A fully playable Stardew map would be rather a laborious thing that I am so completely more than happy to leave to a dedicated individual who is very much not me.

And by that point.... I mean, maybe just play the real thing?
