A Counter for Crafted Items

The crafted item screen works differently from everything else. When cooking food, collecting artifacts/minerals, shipping crops, and so on, you have dark spaces that indicate how many of X you have left to find/create. For the crafting item table, it's different. Instead of having the full list of items, you only have images of the craftables you can currently create. This can be a bit helpful, since items are not uniform in size and there are a fair number of screens to get through, but it's also annoying because you don't know how many items there are still left to make. The only way you can know is to go to the Walnut room and check your perfection rating, and that only gives you a %, not the actual number needed.

I would suggest adding a counter at the top right corner of the crafting screen. Just give it a X out of the total (total is 129, unless I miscounted). I think that strikes a nice middle ground. Unknown craftables are not taking up space, but you know how many items you have left to get the blueprints of.

I'd honestly like a screen in the Inventory pages (like cooking, fish, shipped items, letters/notes, etc) that shows each crafting recipe icon (colored if made/greyed out if not) or the ??? if you haven't earned its icon yet.

turn on 'show additional crafting information' in settings, and you can mouse over each item and see how many of that item you've crafted so far.

No, that's different. I don't want to know how many materials I have to craft an item, or how many times I have crafted an item. I want to know how many items I still need to get a blueprint for.

Checking your perfection screen gives you a percentage of what is left to discover, but not the exact number.

That said, I didn't know about that option, I thought it was a mod when I saw that information on other playthroughs, so thanks for pointing it out.

Yeah, I first assumed the issue was going to be one fixed by just turning on "advanced crafting information" too... but I actually read the post. 😉😘

You mean the collection tab, yes?

If so, this could be a good solution... but it's two steps. Having it at the crafting screen just like in the cooking screen simplifies things.

...and I see no reason not to.
