Hii good to see ya here!
I do play on mobile, in fact, its the only thing I've ever plyed Stardew on. I feel like for tips summoning @Terdin would help, but I'll try my best to scrape up some on my own:
Don't use autoattack, it can be buggy and make you swing at random rocks without hitting the enemies behind them.
Pinch zoom affects the size of the fishing minigame too if you're too zomed in, parts of it might go off screen, which is annoying, but it is nice to make it just the size you want it.
Be careful with eating in combat, [it feels like] when you try to eat and take damage at the same time, you freeze with food over your head and can't switch tools or do much and have to replay the day or wait till you pass out. I still need to test it more to see the details, so might be not super accurate, but thats how it happened every time to me. Eating away from a crowd of mummies helps. I dinno if its mobile only, but I haven't heard of that problem on other platforms, so putting it here.
Try playing around with controls of you haven't, I find it much easier to play with joystick + buttons + tap to move instead of just the latter.
That's probably all, I've already written a paragraph for this. I'm sure you'll get more. Happy playing!

The first thing I do when starting a game is always to shrink the size of the day information so it doesn't intrude too much on the game.
Beware of big chests if you play on a foldable phone. They tend to send information off the screen.
Unlike @Nonak I have to say that I prefer using auto-attack. Tapping somewhere else on the screen makes running there a priority, breaking off useless sword-swinging. And it helps me identify which rocks are actually rock crabs and where there are duggies. I switch to joystick and buttons when I'm decorating and need to be able to specify what I'm trying to do. The important thing is that you find a set of controls that work for you.
If you're attacked when it becomes 2 am, the game can take several minutes to resolve the last few frames before fainting. You should be able to just wait it out.

This is so helpful! Thank you! Auto-attack is annoying but honestly I never considered turning it off. And actually I think the ability to zoom in and out easily actually is a super plus for mobile! Happy gaming & thanks again :sword::crown:

Yes I have been using the run then attack strat! I will have to try joystick and buttons! All new to me, thank you for the tips! Happy gaming!! :sword::crown:

Hello!
Long time reader, first time poster. Have the game on all my consoles, currently replaying for the 2847384 time (slight exaggeration) - this time on mobile. Probably the toughest way to play but my first time on Android since 1.6 came out so had to see it on my tiny screen :)

Anyone only play on mobile? If so, what are some special tips you can share?
Well, I don't play on mobile at all, tried it once but prefered to go back to PC.

But regardless of that, welcome to the Valley Forums, wish you a good time here 🙋🏻‍♀️

Hey so if you're playing on mobile, the dagger is a highly effective weapon for the mines.
I know the dagger isn't exactly popular, but I typically prefer using daggers over swords, unless i'm in a mood. Also i rarely use hammers/clubs.
BUT, the thing that makes the dagger so special on multiplayer is auto-attack. The high attack speed of the dagger means things can't get close to you unless they're really fast or you're getting swarmed.
BUT. Even if you're getting swarmed, the auto-attack of the dagger will turn you into a mini whirlwind of stabbiness. I have literally jumped into a mob of some mean things and only got hit a few times. You know that scene of Obi-Wan Kenobi in the beginning of Episode 3 where he jumps out of his starfighter and does a circle spin in the middle of a bunch of droids? It's like that.

Having the right dagger is important though. I prefer the crystal dagger for early game stuff, and the Wicked Kris if i can find it. Sometimes i do. But also going down the Scout path is critical for maximum stabbiness. Anyways, have fun and let us know if you decide to go this route. It's a little different, but I highly recommend it for mobile.

Yay stabbiness! 😁 I will definitely test it out, I have been finding on mobile that the ice rod trinket has been a lifesaver too so I bet these two tactics- stab & freeze - will play well together especially at the Volcano!

Well I only ever played stardew on mobile and the auto-attack never bothered me sure it might not be perfect but its ok most of the times. Second, as was already referred, zoom is annoying as hell. I, for example, like to play very zoomed out to see a lot but that tends to bug certain dialogue boxes and some interactions. As for decoration (my thing by the way) using the buttons is kind of the only way since rotating furniture without them is hell. Placing items on walls on the other hand is easier with the tap option, because you can interact with the wall from a certain distance while with the buttons you need to hug the wall.

I think that is all. Good luck on you mobile stardew adventure.

Ah yeah I hate decorating, though I really admire the beautiful farms and town even I have seen here! I'm still working on my perfect combat technique so for now auto-attack is still pretty good for me! Much better with trinkets.

Thank you for the tips!
