Indeed, it just struck me as surprising because I'm accustomed to right-aligned conventions ... even these hex numbers put the least significant digit on the right. A fun thing I sometimes ask non-nerds is ... what number is 111? The answer is actually it depends on the base system hehe. In base ten it's one hundred and eleven, but in base 2 it's seven .
