Switch 1.6 Life Elixir Don't Work

After updating to 1.6 on the Nintendo Switch, the mushroom Life Elixir no longer restores health to any degree. No error message, just the loss of it's functionality.

Is it doing nothing? As of 1.6. Life Elixir is supposed to restore Health but not Energy and Energy Tonic restores only Energy, not Health.
