ipad crashes

Since the ipad update last week, my game will work for a few minutes and then it will zoom way in and i can only continue walking in the direction I was going. Can't open the menu or anything. game version v1.6.15 build 24354 English, single player iPadOS Version 18.3.1 (22D72)
