gus famous omelet

I got Gus's Famous Omelet, but in my journal it says 8 eggs collected, 9 eggs in Gus's fridge. Huh?

Apparently gathering up eggs in the community guide post doesn't count if you have an auto-grabber. Each day my eggs go into one of those auto-grabber's and it never counted as me collecting eggs, so I cannot finish any of these eggs collecting for Gus's famous omelette.

when I started the Gus Famous Omelet Quest, I counted that, with the two eggs I collected the same morning, I would be able to complete the quest just in time. The quest failed because even if I delivered the 24 eggs in Gus' Fridge (acknowledged by the game), the game wanted me to collect 24...
