Background:
Hi ya'll!
This is a one off mod my partner requested I make a while back to help them stop procrastinating as much with Stardew Valley. It is a really simple mod that just adds a little accountability to your gameplay. I thought I might as well publish it here so anyone else who is interested could have a chance to use it if they want
The way the mod is structured it could be used as an in-game log book for yourself as well.
Images are taken by my partner and how they have used it lol!
How it Works:
IRL Task Tracker simply pauses the game after each game day and prompts the player to enter IRL tasks that they have completed before progressing to the next day. It is built to help interrupt continuous procrastination to try to get the player to "earn" their next Stardew Valley game day.
There is also a logbook on the title menu where you can see a log of all the tasks you have entered grouped by real-world dates, with the time and Stardew Valley date for each task. Tasks are also farm specific so you should first be able to choose what farm you want then it should take you to the saved tasks.
How to Use:
Setup is like any other SMAPI mod.
Further Notes:
I did not account for multiplayer when making this mod and have not tested it so I am unsure if it will break anything.

How to Use:
- Load a save. If no task has been logged for the current in-game day, the task-entry screen opens automatically. The screen also opens after the game saves.
- Type a task you completed in real life and press Enter to add it.
- Select the checkmark button to close the screen and continue. At least one task is required to enable it.
- From the title screen, select the small book icon to open the task log. Choose a farm/save to view its entries. Right-click to go back; right-click again to return to the title screen.
Setup is like any other SMAPI mod.
- Make sure you have SMAPI 4.0.0 or later
- Download and extract the mod
- Place IRLTaskTracker folder into your Stardew Valley Mods folder. The folder should contain
manifest.json,IRLTaskTracker.dll, andassets/book-hover.wav
Further Notes:
- Tasks are self-reported. The mod does not detect or verify listed tasks.
- Entries are stored locally by save in the mod's data files. Each entry includes the task text, real-world date and time, and in-game date. The mod does not send this information anywhere.
- The logbook is currently for viewing entries' it does not provide controls to edit or delete them.
- If you close the game before entering a task it will reload into the prompt instead of starting the new day.
I did not account for multiplayer when making this mod and have not tested it so I am unsure if it will break anything.
