Favourite crop to grow?

I've never let anyone who tried and dislikes them. Everyone either thinks its weird as hell or likes them too.
I can totally imagine that. Since I don’t like beer in real life because it tastes bitter, I think it’ll be similar with hop sprouts. But I’ve had hop tea before, and with enough honey, it’s actually quite drinkable 😏

I'm not old enough for beer and have no desire to try it at all. The sprouts aren't bitter, hop cones are though. Also I don't like honey in tea - almost anywhere else yes, but in tea specifically it tastes weird.

strawberries. A good crop money wise especially after second year when you either plant all the extras you bought first year, or get more via a seed-maker, and can start them from day one. But also, I like the real ones a lot (Caveat: The real ones that grow in farms around HERE... the ones from California that are huge and don't taste nearly as good are fine, but not the same). Pumpkins, too.

I haven't successfully grown any kind of squash in our garden, though, including pumpkins; my strawberry plant continues to live and put out leaves most years, but it rarely gets more than about 2 flowers, and the squirrels often get those 2 fruit before I can.

My favorite crop right now is probably rice. If I plant a bunch along the river in spring, then I don't have to water it, which is nice when you don't have a lot of sprinklers and you haven't upgraded your watering can yet. It also grows fairly fast, so I can replant it several times.

I also like planting wild seeds and mixed seeds, but that's less because I like what they grow and more because they're easy to get.

I plant rice just to forget about it and find it dead in summer-fall...

Wild and mixed seeds are most of what I plant rn because I'm not buying seeds from Pierre/Joja/Night market/Oasis. They're cool, especially new flower ones.

I like any vine crop that I only have to plant once.
And I have to say I actually enjoyed the rush for Qi fruits, even though it was frustrating to end up with 3 fruits short at the end. It was fun. Maybe because it was only the second time I did it? Every other crop is starting to feel old...

Starfruit or Ancient Fruit, Starfruit is the one that you end up cashing in on anyways in any playthrough, and if you are lucky, Ancient Fruit is the more convenient option.

Pumpkins and Rhubarb are sleeper hits. Pumpkins make a killing as Pickles, and they are fast to process, while Rhubarb works if you didn't get the Greenhouse fast enough for some reason on Year 2.

Same! No honey in tea for me 🍵
