SMAPI unresponsive?

Hi! So I can't get SMAPI to load my mods or even give a report of any kind. I've been looking around on reddit and various forums for similar problems to see if maybe someone had found a fix for my issue already but can't find anything. The game loads and plays just fine but acts like there are no mods installed. I've double (and triple) checked file paths and such to make sure everything was where it should be. I even tried doing a full reinstall on a different drive and still nothing. I'm very new to modding so I can't help but feel like there is something easy and basic that I overlooked but don't even know what else to look for lol...

Also, I should mention this is on Windows on the latest version of the game (1.5 I think?). As far as the other stuff that's asked for in the "How to Ask For Help" thread I just saw, there's nothing I can really add to this from that that would be helpful. I expected mods to work or for them to at least mess up/crash my game but instead it's like the mods are being completely ignored and I'm at a total loss.

What is SVMM? Anyway, it looks like it does not launch SMAPI for some reason. As SMAPI should launch first a console window giving a lot of more or less understandable information on the mods you have installed and then open the game itself.

SVMM is a mod manager that was recommended by a youtuber I initially looked up to get into modding. They said it makes the process easier but never got into how. As far as SMAPI not launching, I came to a similar conclusion and that led me here. Have you ever heard of this sort of thing happening to others? Does anything come to mind that could cause this? I just don't know enough about the process to suss it out myself and google has been rather unhelpful.

I'd recommend trying without that mod manager (where did it manage your mods to?) I'm probably wrong person to answer as I at some point downloaded a mod manager named Starfdrop but have never tried to use it (mainly as I've developed a homemade system). Does that manager have any kind of log which might have error messages?
(one thing I heartily dislike in all the handy graphic interface systems: when something goes bonk, the information either is not given at all or then it is either blinking for a second so you cannot even read it or at least disappearing as soon as you touch something so you cannot copy it for inspection...)

Just tried it without and it's the same. No mods T_T. SVMM does give an error message whenever I start it or try to refresh my mods list but the error message only started appearing after I started messing with stuff to try to get it to work. So there is A problem there but it's not THE problem because SMAPI didn't work before I started getting the error lol. I definitely am starting to agree with you about this mod manager though. I've just started playing without any mods at all for now. I hope I can get this resolved since there are some QoL mods that I'd really rather not miss out on but I'm still having fun with the base game for now at least.

Also, you said you might not be the person to help but you are the only one who answered so thank you! Even just having another person to bounce my frustrated thoughts off of has made me stress less about this whole situation lol.
