Is it possible for a red cabbage not to drop in skull caverns due to a bug?!

I'm asking this because I am seriously at my witts end trying to get red cabbage seeds. I have killed over 800 serpents and mummies with the burgler's ring on. I have gotten 4 prismatic shards, 9 rabbit's feet and 8 curiosity lures. At this point I'm wondering if the drop chance on the wiki is wrong. I've read that purple slimes have anywhere from a 0.5% chance to a 0.125% to drop the red cabbage seeds, so I've avoided killing purple slimes. Can anyone validate the drop chances for me? Maybe I'm just unlucky lol, but at this point I'm starting to feel like they don't have an ability to drop in my save,

If you crunch the numbers on this, if there's only a 0.2% drop chance, then 800 kills without it dropping isn't particularly improbable, even with a Burglar's Ring. And remember, you still only have a 0.2% chance on any subsequent kill too, so regardless of how long you've already waited, you're probably not going to get one this way any time soon

Honestly, if you're that desperate for red cabbage seeds, it'll be faster to just sleep until summer and buy them from Pierre.

Because I like exact numbers - with a 0.2% chance per drop, the odds of not getting one in 800 kills with a burglar ring is (1-0.002)^1600 = 0.041 or 4.1%. Which is low, but not "the odds must be wrong" low - it's basically a 1 in 25 chance. Sorry, you just got unlucky. But at least you have it now!
