Issue Blackscreen on new day load smapi stuck on Json assets building map to resolve normal objects.

My girlfriend and I have a modded world we have been playing on for our first playthrough and have just ran into an issue almost on year 3. It started when we went to sleep and in the morning her character was able to move and go about her day but my game was frozen and stayed that way for a few minutes so I force closed it. Now when trying to load the save it just gets stuck loading and eventually pops the not responding where I choose to wait for the program to respond. It seems in the log it is trying but just stuck at Json Assets building map to resolve normal objects. I have waited upwards for 45 minutes but no luck on loading. We do have a save that is a month and a half back however we made a lot of progress and would hate to lose it. I'm not sure we would have the motivation to continue for a bit.

I have tried a few things so far. Uninstall and reinstall smapi after backing up all save files, uninstall and reinstall all mods, taken the one day backup inside the save file and tried that but got the same results, tested a new farm which seemed to work for the day I tested, and the farm a month and a half back which we really don't wanna go back to. Updated all mods from when I got the original error but that didn't change anything. Just always stuck at the Json assets building map to resolve normal objects.

Tried uninstalling the entire game. smapi, and mods again after backing up save but still getting the exact same issue. I did notice while the console for smapi looks to be responding in task manager the stardew valley.exe is not responding. It will just slowly increase ram usage until it maxes out and my pc becomes unusable or crashes but still no changes in the log.

Edit: I redid some of the mods and more specifically checked all of their installation guides to make sure its correct and the smapi log seems to be freezing up. It continues playing in game music but the moment I click with my mouse it stops responding and each time the detailed log ends with this

Hey, just saw your PM.
Thanks for the log, savefile, and thorough testing.

The log unfortunately seems to cut off before any error details pop up. Is this the host's or farmhand's log?
For multiplayer issues, logs from all players are always best.

I tested the save you sent, without all the mods you have. It loads up fine; seems to just have a lot of RSV and SDV Expanded NPCs and Locations saved in the savefile. That can definitely slow down loading, as all that modded data is loaded at the start.


Y'all may want to try lightening the mod load by removing some mods from the playthrough.

Thank you for checking it out! This is the hosts log, myself, but I'm unable to get the farmhands log since I can never join fully neither can she. Is there any specific mods you think I should get rid of possibly or just kinda go through it?

edit: I went through and uninstalled SDV and RSV but still getting the same issue sadly

No prob.
Even if she's not able to join; the log is also to see that y'all both have the same mods, or any that could've affected the save.

That's a bit odd, SMAPI will throw a few errors as it cleans up.
But, it should definitely load if you temporarily removed those large modpacks.
Does it show any errors this time?
If not; it's probably a separate issue from the mods, and you can re-add them.

It seems I may be missing some files possibly but want your opinion before I start messing with more stuff as it seemed to load for you but I just still can't get in even without mods.

That error is just the SDV Expanded NPC that's saved to the save file. Since SDV Expanded isn't installed it errors that it can't find its mod data.
Though, as it mentions at the top of the log; the Error Handler can usually fix most of that.
But, occasionally, the data needs to be removed manually if you were going to permanently do without the mod.

Re-add "Error Handler" at minimum; that should let it run.

Thank you again! So I got most mods installed and a few picked out I thought might cause loading issues and got it to load! However with a repeating error and wanted to see if you can pinpoint how I can resolve this one and I think I should be good to go maybe. Most mods I uninstalled were BFAV related and the Glass Buildings pack.

For those repeating errors. Not ones I've seen or am familiar with, but they all seem to be pointing to the FarmAnimals.

I did some googling; looks like RSV has an NPC that can auto-pet animals; and solid foundations supports custom buildings.
Of which I do see an Aviary; among other things.
Maybe ensure you have access to the Aviary at least; those custom birds still count as FarmAnimals. So that may be throwing an error.

And, on the full log; for further details I always click the "Trace" button. As trace details are hidden by default. You can usually find some more info regarding the last active mod before the crash.
