Switch (Switch Bug) I can’t fish

Today I was playing Stardew on my Switch, but when I tried to fish I couldn’t. Every time I would press “A” to get the fish, I couldn’t. It just didn’t react. I tried with other accounts thinking that maybe it was a problem with just my account but I had the same problem with every other one. I also tried with other controls because maybe mine was broke or something, but I had the same problem with all of them. Also I can grab things with “A” like I normally would, but at fishing it doesn’t work. I can’t fish and it’s bothering me because it’s really important for my progress in the game.

Experiencing the same issue. I’m losing 90% of my fish the instant they’re hooked. My fishing bar is long and the fish are well within green range. I know it’s a bug because I’m losing slow weak fish who require literally zero reeling. Despite level 12 fishing, iridium rod, and good luck day/rings, I can’t complete any fishing quests or catch the last 7 fish I need to achieve perfection.

edit: I’m on a 7th gen iPad Pro 16.2, typically play with Bluetoothed Xbox controller but the same thing happens when I use touch only.

Hi, I have reinstalled after not playing the game for 2+ years and fishing is not working. I see the exclamation sign and press y and no minigame or nothing. It just quits fishing. I have latest version on switch 1.5.4.2. Please help, this is really annoying.
