Dwarf Scroll I

I need this scroll in order to buy items from the Volcano dwarf. I have the other three. The wiki says you can till level 95 of the mines for it. Is this a viable way to get it?

I have been killing bats and crabs at level 26 and lower in Skull caverns. Here the wiki says the drop rate for this scroll is .5%. Is this the easiest way to get it? In the previous games I've played by the time I have killed 60 crabs (I like the +5 defense of the Crabshell ring) I have also picked up Dwarf scroll I.

Yeah, bring a good hoe and till the earth there, leave the floor, and repeat, I have a short guide on optimal tilling for some levels, it may apply to level 95 but I forgot the layout for that floor.

If you don't want to then musk and burglar on the early levels of the floor will probably only take an in game day too, 0.5% isn't much, especially with a reroll and the fact that it drops from practically every enemy on those levels.

Farming level 95 is good because you can reach it easy on the elevator and there's tillable ground right at the entrance. But I have the best results digging for artifacts on those big open "donut" floors, with the large open space all tillable except the bit in the center. Unfortunately I'm not sure which floors have that layout, but I usually find one between 10 & 15.

Floors 13 and 23 and their respective equivalents further down. I just got done farming duggies in my latest run, and those are my go to levels because they are dirt heavy and where the duggies like to live.

Thank you everyone for your replies. I ended up getting one from floor 95 of the mines. It took about a dozen or so attempts, but now I can buy those fancy shoes and all the bombs I can use! In my next game I will try digging up artifacts and killing duggies on floors 13 and 23.

farm anything at those levels, not just duggies.

Just for clarification, is it any tillable tile that can yield dwarf scrolls I and IV? And any duggie killed can also drop one?

It must be tilling soil in the Mines or Skull Cavern. Also, any bat, bug, cave fly, duggy, green slime, grub, rock crab or stone golem can drop them.

Correction*
All mines bats, iridium bats do not drop any dwarf scrolls.
