Hello fellow players,

I’m Anomalousone and I’m excited to get to know you all. I’m not new to the game. I’ve played on pc, Xbox, and currently on iOS. I’m excited waiting for the mobile 1.5 update.

I’m of the older crowd that plays Stardew. Like close to 40. As such I have a question about using this forum. How do I conceal information that might be a spoiler?

Another one if it’s okay. On iPhone my silo is showing random amounts of hay each day. What’s up with that? I don’t recall that being a problem pre 1.5 on my iPad.

Put this around your text for spoilers. Your text would go in between the two spoiler bracket things. Also, welcome to the forum.

Hi Anomalousone and Welcome to the Forums!

There are quite a few of us who are on the older side of things, even older than 40 if you can believe that! 😱

Also you can use the Inline Spoiler tag from the 3 dots dropdown if you want to conceal some information like that some of us are even close to 50! 😱😱 but keep your thought going in a sentence.

The Hay thing sounds like a bug. Are the amounts going up and down but you aren't Scything Grass or feeding animals in a fully upgraded Barn or Coop?

Not scything because the hay value never goes below the silo total value.

I saw a Reddit post about the bug but the replies were not very useful. I’ve never had that bug on other platforms. It’s just this phone. I’m sure the 1.5 mobile update will correct it.

My wife plays her games on the phone, so it’s not a guilty feeling. She’s 33. Our daughter isn’t allowed to use the phone until she’s 30. About the time I will allow her to date. 🤣

Thank you for the response. Take care.

46 year old here. I use my phone for My Time at Portia because the laptop that can handle Stardew Valley and several Steam ports of board games lags like crazy even in low graphics settings for Portia. I'd do Stardew on both, but not until the 1.5 update finally makes it.

I'm also going to be the too-serious party pooper and tell you the "joke" about your daughter is inappropriate -- and overused. Why use joke material that was at least a good generation old back when I was a teen and considering dating? My grandpa may have made those cracks but my Dad and Mom already knew better.

40? 50? *snorts* Babies.
Welcome to the forums! I believe everyone gave you the information you needed. Another suggestion is that you can type out the text, highlight it, and click the ... in the format bar above where it has B I U, etc, and select "Spoiler". It will allow you to type the text that will show on the Spoiler alert button.

You will find the SDV forum folks to be incredibly nice and helpful. I've been coming here for years for one reason and stayed for many more.

I love that we have alot of the older gen here its awesome!
I'd love it if my parents played games it would be great.
Oh there's plenty of us I'm sure. I started playing computer games seriously in my early 30s. I was a late bloomer. Now that I'm retired, it's become one of my favorite things to spend time doing! This is one of those games that can appeal to a huge range of ages. My mom is in her 80s and loves to play games, but she sticks to slot type games on her tablet. Haven't got her to try out SDV yet but there's still time!

I think I started 1994 on an Amiga (best computer ever made) and played Eye of the Beholder and Civ1. I was hooked.
I've played Fallout, CIV series and all Elder scrolls, plus a gazillion of other games. I still play them now and again.

But all these games are stressful in their own way, but way too fun to not play.

I saw one really bad player showing SD on YouTube 2016, I thought: What a terrible game....

Now I regret it so much, I finally picked up the game 2 years ago when I saw someone actually explaining things. One of the best games ever! 829 hrs do far and haven't achieved anything!
HAHA! 🤗

I completely get what you are saying. I am also a TES player and in fact have a Skyrim series going on my YouTube channel. It is intense sometimes. That's one reason I love SDV. It's so relaxed and who cares if we are in the 900 hours played group and completion is not even 60%. I was happy to find out I had only completed 60%. That's 40% more to be surprised and delighted with! I'm adding SDV to my YouTube channel starting next week in hopes it will show a slower relaxed way to play that might appeal to those who are looking for that gameplay style.

Get a save file just for her and get her to the Casino. =p

You win with that awesome TRS-80, hands down. My first encounter with a computer was at school, some nerd played stuff on a Spectrum.
I didn't like a bit of it. Many years later a friend showed me his Commodore64, and I was awestruck and bought my Amiga 500 some time later.

My friends showed me the ropes and after that, there was no turning back.

After that I bought an AMIGA 1200! It had half a meg of memory and a hard drive with a 120 mb storage. it was an amazing machine.
But that wasn't enough, I upgraded with another 512kb memory, and I now had 1mb memory!!!! I also bought an external hard drive
of a whooping 800mb. Haha, I spent 3500 dollars on that machine and everyone hated and loved me at the same time.

So, every morning, when I woke up in my rolled-up newspaper on the highway, I played games.

Those were the times. 😍
