PC [HELP] No Sound From Speakers only w Headset

When I try and play the game w/o my headset plugged in, even with restarting the game and checking file integrity I am unable to play the game with sound unless using my headset.

I'm really sad because while I can play with headset on, I can only do it for so long before I get a headache or my neck gets sore from wearing them (very bulky).

Please someone help ;m;

Are you starting the game with the headset and then unpluggin it? The game can only use the audio ouput that is set when the game launches. If you want to change audio output mid-game, you'll have to close the game entirely, change the audio output, and then start the game again

It originally happened because I did the classic blunder of forgetting my headset was on and walking away from my desk. Which in turn caused the headset to unplug (USB). Also I'm unsure where I'm supposed to change the audio output.

I've tried:

A. Launching the game with my headset, regular saving and closing to desktop then relaunching the game without my headset plugged in but no sound will come from my speakers.
B. A fresh boot of my system w/o my headset plugged in at all, launching steam, verifying integrity files for safe measure then launching the game.

So I'm kinda of at a loss, ;v;
