Painting buildings?

Is it true you can now paint buildings? If so how in the *bleep* do you do it on PS4?

With version 1.5 you can paint buildings.

Painting is done at Robin's shop in the same menu you use to move or destroy buildings.

It can be a bit finicky, but it's nice to get sheds colour coded like your chests.

It's also very easy to overlook in that menu with the move/destroy options, so watch for it carefully when scrolling over!

When you are at Robin's, pick the option for constructing farm buildings. Under the building on the right there are other options. One of them looks like a paintbrush, and that's the one you use to paint buildings.

Are they upgraded enough? The Wiki says you need to have the buildings properly upgraded.

Oh okay! I didn't read that part. No they aren't. They are at their base stage. Hahaha! Do I ever feel silly.

I do not have the energy to go check the wiki, total up all the costs, and hand deliver them to you. I'm not here to do homework right now. Why not you go take a look?

Should they have to be fully upgraded? Well, should you be able to make buildings bigger without having to repaint them? You've just added a bunch of unpainted materials.

What it is is a limitation of the code.

Sorry, realize my question was a bit vaguely worded. I know what the requirements are to upgrade the buildings, I was just wondering what level they need to be on to be painted. On the wiki it simply says, “sufficiently upgraded” so I wasn’t sure. I’m about to be able to upgrade my farmhouse to its last stage, though, so I’ll find out on my own soon enough whether it can be painted or if my game is just acting a bit weird.

You can only paint buildings that are at maximum upgrade level, with the one exception being the farmhouse does not need the cellar before painting.
