The case of the missing watering can

My water can has gone mysteriously misssing....
I checked the lost and found, all my chests, the fridge, and it did not show up in the mail the next day.
i''ve been gone for a while, haven't I?

Do you play co-op and the other player has it in their inventory? Have you left some convenience Chests is various places on the map you might have forgotten? Like Fishing spots or the Mines. Is it in an Autograbber? Or a Junimo Hut? Did you lend it to Linus so he can use it as a shower? Do you use it as a spray bottle to keep the Cat away from the Bed at 1:50am? Do you keep it in Hubby Alex's outdoor area to keep him rinsed down so he doesn't overheat? Do you keep it in Wife Maru's outdoor area so you can cool her off after a long day of gadget wrenching? And also for the fireworks show when it short circuits and blows up?

no coop, i dont have autograbbers or a junimo hut, i dont use it as a spray bottle, im not married to maru, i didnt lend it to linus. I checked all my convenince chests. Thanks though!
If anyone was wondering, no, im not using mods.

I think Lewis also has a lost item recovery spot in his house, different from the Adventurer's Guild. I only learned about this recently but apparently someone found an important lost item like an Axe (no, not Robin!) there.

The only way I think you could have gotten rid of it is a glitch which deletes items with the alt key but you should have had it reappear the next day at your bedside.

Maybe in the support/help part of the forum, someone could figure it out for you, with instructions for uploading your save file to have it fixed. CA himself has helped players with bugs & glitches, as well as many players & community members with coding & programming skills.

I think I'll check around one last time, and if the watering can is not found, I'll do so.
