Like LRangerR said, if you're a cheap bast ehm, well, economically minded like myself, Emily likes some other precious stones that have little other use in-game and Jade is a very good thing to have in mid-game as it has some very beneficial uses.

Save the Jade!

Okay, the only time Emily specifically asks for jade is when you accept her quest from the Special Orders Board and is asking for a variety of gemstones. Is that what you're doing? That could be relevant to how folks answer...

For example: it is relevant to point out that Special Orders can be attempted multiple times. Relax. Also, this particular Special Order quest doesn't require you find the jade. All you need to do is bring Emily the selection of gemstones. Do you have a jade anywhere else? If so, just grab it and bring it to her. You don't need to find a fresh one like it's an egg or something.

Jade Nodes show up on Level 41 and below in the Mines (and all floors if you've reached the bottom), I almost always see one on a trip through those levels to get more Frozen Geodes as I'm still missing some minerals from those for the Museum Collection. Buy or bring Bombs and Staircases to make good use of your time to get to as many floors as possible. If you don't have the resources or g for those things, just use the Elevator to go to Level 45, then 50, then 55, then 65, then 70... and back again.

Slight correction: Nodes (of any type) won't spawn on Floors that end in "5" (eg. 15, 55, 105).

So going to Floors ending in "0" and taking the provided ladder will be a better use of time, unless you're relying on the 2% Jade drop chance from Blue Slimes. :)
