Total Perfection is Frustratingly Close

Heyo! I’m a decently new Switch player and have recently started attempting to obtain one of every item in a single save file. I have deemed this achievement “Total Perfection”. While doing research for this goal I have identified 3 issues with getting one of every item. With my current knowledge these 3 issues unfortunately mean that there is a minimum of 7 unobtainable items in a given save file.

The Issue of Joja or Community Center
Doing the Joja route gives the player a Soda Machine while doing the Community Center route gives the player the Stardew Hero Trophy. This crossroads is the first of 7 unobtainable items although if I’m being honest if the soda machine/trophy was the only discrepancy I would probably be perfectly ok with that given they are essentially two sides of the same coin.

The Issue of Penny’s 14 Heart Event
There are 3 options for room decor in Penny’s 14 heart event: the night theme which yields 3 unique items, the pirate theme with yields 2, and the strawberry theme which also yields 2. I’ll have to do some testing for this one with erasing Penny’s memory and also trying to trigger her 14 heart event with another player; however, I’ve heard that 14 heart events are a one time per file deal so this issue is potentially leaving us with a minimum of 4 unobtainable items.

The Issue of the Remixed Mines
I absolutely despise the remixed mines for having unique items!! Not to mention getting these unique items is entirely random as I have not found a seed for all of them and I don’t even know if there is one. The optimal remixed mines would involve getting Femur on floor 10, Elf Blade or Steel Smallsword on floor 20 (both are exclusive), Crystal Dagger on floor 60, and finally Obsidian Edge or Ossified Blade on Floor 90. So in summary, the best theoretical outcome of remixed mines is still leaving us a minimum of 2 unobtainable items.

Conclusion
As you can see Total Perfection is frustratingly close to being possible. As I said above Joja/CC isn’t that big of a deal to me personally, and Penny’s items may be possible I’ll just have to test it. This unfortunately leaves the remixed mines; a seemingly unsurmountable obstacle. Have any of you been able to get any of the mentioned weapons through other means?

There are dozens of unobtainable Shirts in the game as they are only available when you initially choose your character and are not craftable by ay other means, so that can be piled on top of your list. There are also a few items with vanishingly small chances of getting, someone here (I forget who, sorry!) is trying to get the Work Boots to complete their set of game footwear, and they are a very rare drop. Adding up a few items which are also rare drops and you have a functionally ridiculously long grind to obtain all of these rarities.

You'd have to marry Emily as well to get her unique 14 item. If you count adding a permanent map addition as an item, you need 14 with Abigail, Alex, and Leah (except there you still only get 1 of 3).

I did consider the shirts and other clothing from the start of the game; however, they are all named “shirt” as the item so I’d consider the customization options as retextures of the same item. As for the super grind heavy items I naturally anticipate a challenge but I would never say they’re unobtainable

Right, there’s a unique item for Leah in her 14 event, as well as the map addition. I don’t know about other NPCs. So I imagine a lot of divorces are planned.

I’ve mapped out the other marriages needed for Total Perfection and yea penny is the only one who presents any kind of issue. But definitely quite a few divorces planned lmao

For the remixed mines, you may be able to get around this in multiplayer.

There is a recent discovery around seeds dubbed dynamic seeds. I don't know if it works on switch.

Before loading a save, go into the new game screen and enter a seed, then exit to title and load your save. You will be playing your original save, but on a different seed. This will change the items in the remixed chests. There is a side effect in that when you go to bed, your save file is duplicated.

To test if this works on switch, sleep to a Friday/Sunday, note the items in the travelling cart, change the seed, and see if the items have changed.

Switch RNG is different to PC, so I'm not able to see what seeds give which items, you will have to brute force it.

This is a good question, one I sadly cannot answer with certainty due to my lack of multiplayer research and experience.
One time from somewhere though I heard that 14 heart items were only triggerable once like Emily’s outfit though this might have been an old bug or mere speculation.
I’ll try digging for you, if I have no time or find nothing I will not write again though.

Heart events are once per save file per player, so you shouldn't have issues with Penny's heart events of you can make it a multiplayer file.

Heart events are once per player per savefile. You can not divorce, erase her memory and remarry her to have the heart event again. You would need 3 players in a MP save and for each to marry Penny, one after the other.

Yup that’s what I was planning to try with the Penny exclusives. Multiplayer is always finicky but it’s worth a try.
