However, in a response tweet from CA, 1.6 will be dropping after 1.5 has dropped for mobile. c: Which, I think that’s actually a great thing that he’s doing it that way. It shows he’s still thinking about mobile players, and getting the 1.5 update out to them. I’ve never doubted that he would, but I still like to acknowledge and recognize that he is thinking about the mobile player base.

Wanted to add that Mr.Podunkian also did some work for 1.6! Like previously stated, it's definitely a more modding focused update, but there will be a few tidbits of new content too.
