I'm planning on making a collection of all the hats in stardew utilizing the Alien rarecrow, and I wondered if the copper pan could be placed on the rarecrow like you can put it on your head?

...and the answer is, unfortunately, no. Instead it just causes the "I've scared off ___ crows" dialogue.
But this leads me to another vitally important question: what about your kids?
[1 minute later, because this time Stardew is already open]

"Plus, it is extremely practical. You might even find some diamonds!"

"Well, if you decide to put in on, just don't bring it to the Moonlight Jellies!"

What about your horse? (I'm guessing the answer is also no).
(2 minutes later) Unfortunately the horse also does not want to wear a big metal bowl on it's head. Can't imagine why...
