What's next for me,........(getting bored)

OKAY,....SO,....I'm not really bored with the game, just my routine. I have a lovely wife (Emily); two beautiful, if loony children. Possibly having Emily as a wife makes my kids think they are parrots, they just flap their arms all day like they want to fly. My farm is doing well; I have sheep, void chickens and lizard dinosaurs. I have contributed a s**t load of money to the community for upgrades: bridge to the quarry, bus line to Calico Desert and a house for Pam, movie theater and others AND I still have $3 mill in the bank (or wallet?). I need a new challenge or upgrade but the Joja guy says there aren't any.
HELP!
Thanks

What are you playing on? If you're playing on Xbox, PC, PlayStation, or switch then there is more. Unfortunately, if you're playing on mobile, then you've about hit the limit to the content for now. The 1.5 update will be coming to mobile soon ( hopefully sometime this Summer, we're not sure) However, if you're playing on one of the things I listed above, then there is something called ginger island. You can go there by fixing the boat in Willy's shop. I won't spoil further than that, but that's how you get there.

Gold Clock. It's silly but it's a goal. Goald. Whatever...

Design a Farm layout like you see in the better posts in Valley Showcase. Just skip over mine and look at the others. Some of these are amazing and you can design it yourself in Stardew Valley Planner, a great online tool and the SDV version of a pixel drawing program.

Design an interior or exterior layout for places like the Mine entrance or Quarry, etc.

Buy one of every building for your Farm and create a use for it, make it part of your routine. I never use the Mill but you could assign part of your Farm day or week around grinding Flour or Rice. I have a Mill in one save and grow Rice in a different save. Clearly I don't have this planning thing down just yet...

I'm playing on mobile so after the movie theater I usually start a new farm.

Some ideas for the late-game 1.4 farm:
Junimo huts & other wizard buildings
Max all friendships
Cook all recipes, craft everything, catch every fish
Complete museum
Skull cavern, how deep????
Monster eradication goals
Various specialty projects- convert railroad to syrup farm, beehive the quarry, fill sewer with kegs, recycling station on the beach, etc
Get good at using the slingshot
Tailor clothes, there are hundreds of items to sew
Redecorate the farmhouse with both catalogs
Build & decorate sheds
Raise slimes in & outside the hutch
Use the shrine to invite monsters to your farm
Follow characters around & pass out in their houses, hahaha!

Hey, whoaaaaa! Slow down there! Realistic goals are what we're after here in these parts. You don't want to scare anyone away from the game!

Ah, something new...

A Creepy Run of the game. Grab a chair, pop it next to the NPC's bed right after they tuck in for a snooze. Take a seat, break out the Bean Hotpot or Red Plate and dig in...

Mmmm? No Elliott, just making myself at home. It's OK, we got 3 , we're best buds now. Look, the TV's out at the Farm and you're the next best thing. You could take that as a compliment, that's an option, you know...

Next day: Oh hi, Maru! Take a seat? Nah, I got one with me already...

OKAY,....NOW we're getting somewhere! I put in the hard wood for the hull; also the iridium bars for the anchor. Gotta say, the boat still looks like crap. BUT, HOW do I get bats wings to make a lightning rod (bat wings being the reason I never crafted one before). the lightning rod being required to craft the battery packs to fix the 'entrance fee'??
Thanks!!

Kill monsters on all levels of the mines or SC.
The bats will teir as you go deeper and the best place for the wings themselves is about level 45/55.
If you kill them in SC though the bats themselves have a low chance of dropping the battery pack.
You can also befriend Pam, in my first run I used all the battery packs I got in summer and fall yr 1 on iridium sprinklers so used the bats and pam for batteries, ended up getting 3 from her in 2 weeks which was lucky.

Go visit the Wizard. Yeah, I never go there either as getting a contact high from eau de roasted Squirrel... nuts is not my usual choice of breathable substances. That book behind him has some fun things to build on your Farm and the Gold Clock is the ultimate statement of "I ground for ages to get this ridiculous amount of g and then blew it all on this gaudy horrible giant timepiece that has IMO negligible to negative effects on my Farm."

Intrigued yet?

You gots to be a little meany nasty person to a bunch of Bats in the Mines. And the thing about Bats is they know you're coming so they generally tape their Wings on with extra sticky stuff so they don't drop them off all that much. Or at least not in enough quantity to get many of the things you need Bat Wings for.

Do you know how many Butterfly Hutches you need for decent Lepidopteran coverage just in the Farmhouse??

I wanted to do Slimes in the house instead but Abby said 'no' and threatened to slice them into little festive multicolored ribbons with her new sword, and if I got accidentally nicked in the process then maybe that would remind silly Farmers to consult their wives before doing stupid things.

LOL, as if I'm going to think before doing stupid things... sheeesh she knew who she was marrying...

um hey! I did this (what are you implying:wink:) and it's so not stupid. Abigail is to blame in this scenario. She killed my cute innocent house slimes, even though I tried to hide them in the farthest corner she never goes to. Then that one day she does and "Honey why are there slimes in the house?" and slays Dee and Dum.

I mean, they're even housetrained and only go slime in the invisible bathroom! This is the one Mod I'd install, the Farmhousetrained Slime Coexistence Mod. It probably exists. It has to. There's no way I thunk a thing first, it's disallowed by my contract.

If you go to the wizard and can't find that book, try visiting the Railroad, and following the resulting quest line.

I have befriended Pam and I think she once gave me a battery pack, but, my ignorance was LARGE and I didn't keep it. I shall persevere.....with a lot of perspiration!

No I was in there before he went to bed. I didn't capture it recently. I do think I have the key... I say think because I know I was thinking about getting it. I think.
But how???? Shouldn't you be magically teleported back to your bed like when you pass out anywhere else? Does that not work in the Town's houses??
