Xbox [HELP] Game crash when adding cow to barn

Hi,

On a second save file on xbox series s, when adding the first cow to the barn the game crashes and I am unable to proceed.
I have tried turning sound down to 0 in the settings but still an issue.
I opened my older save file where there are already cows in the barn and everything is fine in there but when I try to add an additional cow, it crashes again.
I have uninstalled and then reinstalled the game.
I have left it on the crashed screen for an hour in the hope it will catch up but no luck there either.

I have added a picture for reference of the exact time the crash happened.

Also having this same problem. The game also does the same thing if I try to name an animal so I'm just using randomly generated names. Almost through year 2 and all I have is chickens because every other animal makes the game crash. Help?

I've actually figured out how to fix this. For whatever reason (I assume having a certain item does this) emptying out your inventory, tools, food, ect., allows you to purchase animals without the game crashing.

Same thing is happening to me as well on Xbox. I am in Winter of Year 2. Playing single player. I can't add any animals at all to my barn or coop. Even tried upgrading the barn and coop and nothing works. I tried starting a new game and anytime I go to name my character it freezes too. Also tried incubating an egg and when the egg hatches the game crashes when I go to name the animal. I've sent emails to Stardew Valley support twice and no response. Seems people don't really care about console support. Spent $15 for an unplayable game. It's a shame.

I am having the same issue, unable to add new animals via purchasing them and unable to name animals other than a randomized name. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, leaving it on the crash screen (currently been looking at the crash screen for about an hour and a half), turning off all sounds, emptying out my inventory, all with no luck. I am by no means tech-savvy and have absolutely no idea what to do. I'm at the start of year 3 and i just want some cows :((

I too am having the same problem, try going through the day and try again and still the same.

Now I leave it frozen like this to see if at some point it returns to normal, but since yesterday I've been having this problem

I am having this problem as well, Xbox Series X, new to the game, it also occasionally freezes when adding items to community center bundles but I am able to get myself in frozen usually by toggling the cursor and clicking. But yes, when I too try to add a cow to my barn it freezes and I have to close the game. I have never added cows before but have successfully added chickens to my coop, please help!
