Community Center Frustrations / Mod Ideas?

Is anyone else really frustrated that the Community Center offers so little to gameplay after completion? I'm in the 7th year of my farm and since having completed the Community Center in year 2 or 3 I swear I've only seen two people enter the building: Emily and Evelyn. After all the work the game does to make completing the bundles mysterious and exciting, the result just seems super anticlimactic! You get a cutscene and Joja Mart closes and becomes the theatre which is cool at first but ultimately doesn't do anything for the player. (If I'm remembering correctly you can't even use the dye pots in the crafts room!)

I was thinking of mod ideas to make the Community Center more interesting for the player. I'd mainly want to give it a functional purpose so that Farmer has a regular reason to actually be there, but I haven't thought about that too much yet. Also, I think I mentioned this in another thread but I think it'd be really cool to implement a-few-times-a-yearly events. For example, maybe you see a post-it on the Help Wanted board that's advertising a performance by Sam's band one day, or maybe Shane wants to show off the Joja Cola ad he created. Emily could even host a dance/fashion show, or Leah an art exhibit! These are just some ideas off the top of my head.

I wanted to reach out partially to gauge interest but also to see if anyone had ideas either for events that could take place or for how I could make the Community Center functional at any other time of year. If you think of anything cool that you might want to see let me know! This probably wouldn't come into fruition for a while because I'm in the middle of college but I think it'd be a fun project for the future! Or cough cough portfolio building. :) Thank you guys!

Also since this started as a Community Center frustrations rant but became sort of about modding over time let me know if I should change which category this is in!! (If that's possible, sorry I'm new to posting here.)

I think the Community Center should slowly slide into a state of disrepair the longer you play the game, with occasional boxes being added here n' there over time, labeled:

Gus's weekday recipes
Rasmodius' forest stew leftovers (no effect)
Haley's old clothes (2 seasons)
Emily's pastel gems and parrot feathers
Elliott's rejected manuscripts
Haley's old clothes (2 years)
Abby's blue hair dyes
Robin's rusty axes and rock collection
Elliott's rejected Locks of Love hair donation
Demetrius' undead fungus collection
Seb's Banana Junior 6000
Haley's old clothes (6 seasons)
3 boxes of Maru's rejected AI parts (Evil variant, keep 2m apart at all times!)
Clint's self-esteem toolkit
Sam's broken skateboard/homemade guitar project
Harvey's model airplanes
Marnie's box o' bloomers
Abby's Vectrex and Intellivision
Kent's civvies
Pierre's twig and seed leftovers
Haley's coconuts
Gil's shoes
Shane's Joja uniforms
Emily's other sleeping bag
Jodi's clubbing outfits and crop-tops
Caroline's trenchcoat and sunglasses "Spirit's Eve" costume
Grandpa's DIY Farmhouse indoor plumbing kit

I agree.
I'd like to be able to add fish to the aquarium. On top of all the other cool stuff we could be doing and that many have suggested.
Great suggestions Lew.
Haley's coconuts
oh yeah?

What about Penny's girlhood detective series that was the same book written 150 different ways? Also her choose your own adventures that you ALWAYS died in.

D'oh! I missed Penny! I kept blanking what to say and I'd keep coming back to it, like Pee Wee Herman saving the snakes from the burning Pet Store. My perfect, ultimate, and often-used example of avoidance behavior:

I love how quickly this thread turned into talking about "coconuts." xD Even so though, really interesting ideas! New mini bundles could be a cool idea if they are all character-specific, and instead of unlocking something physical in the world, they could potentially unlock cutscenes? This could probably only happen once per character due to scope though, and it still leaves room for what happens when you complete each character's bundle, but interesting nonetheless! Thank you!
