Here's a list of some game suggestions that personally I've never heard anyone else talk about. Have you ever thought of these?
1. Having a higher chance to get footwear out of fishing treasure chest, especially work boots! All the shoes from the fishing treasure chest you can obtain in other easier ways, but you can only get work boots from fishing treasure chests if you don't have remixed mine options turned on. Currently, there's about an 0.012% chance to get work boots from fishing treasure chests which is the same chance of getting a prismatic shard! I’m pretty sure they’re not supposed to be a rare item, like a living hat being really rare is understandable, but these are WORK BOOTS. Please, I just want to collect all the footwear…
2. Split-screen cutscenes on the switch are annoying and one is always ahead of the other. I think the two screens should merge when there are important cutscenes or events like at the Moonlight Jellies, the Luau, when announcing who won at festivals, the completion of Joja or CC, the Joja the CC cutscenes, the summit event, and so on. There are just a lot of important events that turn out to be awkward on split-screen and I think there should just be one screen when that kind of stuff happens. Especially so when you screenshot it, it’s one screen, not two.
3. I know there are already some suggestions about how to make the slime hut and slimes, in general, more useful, but I’m going to give my own take on it anyway. I think you should be able to upgrade the hutch and make it even bigger on the inside. For as much space it takes up, it’s disappointing that’s there’s a limit on the number of slimes. Also, I think there should be some way to individually kill certain slimes. If you’re trying to breed only a certain color, I think this would be very helpful. It’s harder to pick off certain slimes than you think. Like it would be great to see a list of the slimes you have in each hut and have it include things like their picture, color (maybe the exact numbers you would see on clothing), sex, and an option to dispose of it. Lastly, I despise how often the witch turns my slimes all black. (Expect for tiger slimes which I think might be a glitch.) On my year 8 save, this has happened a total of 4 times now!! Frankly, it’s just annoying. Edit: After writing this I have found a wicked statue prevents this from happening, but still- what’s up with the tiger slimes not turning black?
4. The community center was honestly a letdown… I mean, it looks nice. But I really want it to be more interactable. It’s just there… I rarely go inside because there’s nothing to do. Also, there are no cutscenes in there after the CC completion. I’d love to hear people’s thoughts on this or what they would do to improve it.
5. This one annoys me so much and I’m surprised I’ve never seen anyone talk about it. So if you play multiplayer and your friend marries someone before you get 10 hearts with that NPC. It’s all fun and games until you’re trying to get 100% perfection and you can only get 8 hearts with that NPC. Well, it still counts as 10 hearts- but the friendship decays!! So while you’re trying to catch a flipping octopus, Penny is slowly decreasing in hearts because she wants more emeralds and you don’t notice until you check the perfection tracker and the friendship percentage is only 98% and so you start panicking and wonder if you actually got 10 hearts with the dwarf or if that was just the best dream ever and you scroll to the bottom of your friends and you see neglected Penny who you can’t get 10 hearts with and then every once in a while you have to give her an emerald to boost her friendship points so the perfection tracker stays at 100%!! Long story short; if you can’t get 10 hearts with someone, I don’t think there should be a decay. Anyway, don’t mind me as I play my sister’s character to divorce Penny…
6. I am insane and I’m probably the only one who would want this, but I’d love a way to temporarily stop auto feeders from feeding animals in certain barns or coops. So they wouldn’t get hay until I turn it back on. Really this would be just so I can starve my pigs in the winter because they don’t give profit during that time. But maybe someone wouldn’t want animals to produce for a certain period of time? Idk, just a thought.
7. There is no way to get back deleted files from the switch. (Possibly other game consoles too.) Since you can do this in just two button presses, this is a major problem (especially for those of us who have younger siblings, ha). I really just want a way to retrieve old save files I’ve deleted.
