There's always time for Miyazaki movies, especially My Neighbor Totoro. And of course there are just tons of other great, entertaining ones out there.
But the movie I'll stop everything for is the original 1998 Mulan.

As amusing as I find Maximum Overdrive, Horror isn't my favorite genre. I get very picky with my horror movies. Thank you though, I've been trying to remember the name of that movie for years. Didn't realize it was a SKing movie

Had a bit of time to think about it, and while i generally severely dislike the zombie trope, one of my favorite horror movies is "Juan of the Dead" (Spanish w/ subs). Absolutely hilarious.
A couple of the Japanese animated movies that I've found that are pretty good are:
"Blame!" (futuristic horror/action complete with murderous robots (just for you, Lew)), and
"The Labyrinth of Grisaia" (Grisaia no Meikyuu (honestly don't know what genre to plop this one in. it's listed as "drama" but i tend to view that genre more as a catchall)).
Edit- Oh, also No Game, No Life: Zero.

Nausicaa: of the Valley of the Wind is one of my fave movies, though there's a ton of movies i really enjoy

Well, dozens of the movies I like are animated movies, like Kaze no Tani no Nausicaa, Sakasama no Patema, Eiga Daisuki Pompo-san (yeah, just recently), and many more.
And no, I am not a fan of 3D animated movies.
