Any possible DLC or Sequels?

So I've been hooked on this game for Years! And I plan on getting a copy for PC once I fix my setup again since I've seen PC vrs Console (which Is what my brother and I have been playing on), and I think PC would be better for this game. On that note, id totally buy any DLC or Sequels to Stardew Valley! And was curious on what the odds of that ever occurring are? Or any potentially larger updates? This game seems to have SO MANY POSSIBILITIES when it comes to additional game play! (NOT that it isn't already wonderful! I just don't wanna hit a "end" where there isn't much else to see or do!)

I don't think it's likely that there will be DLCs. There were several large updates that could have been sold as DLCs if that had been desired, and they were all provided free of charge.

I know ConcernedApe is working on a new game, so I'm not expecting any large content updates anymore. There a thread on the forum about it, I think it was called "haunted Chocolatier".

However, if you play on PC, there are several large mods that add new areas, characters and gameplay options. You can always treat them as an extension to the game.

Not sure about new DLC's because he's wrapping up the game, but feel free to talk to me about Stardew. You seem very excited about it.

The developer (ConcernedApe/Eric Barone) has delivered 5 sizable updates to the game since it's initial release, which could be considered DLCs, but they weren't paid. I dunno if paying for soemthing makes it a DLC. Dev gives me new C and I DL it. That money bit seems not directly relevant but then I'm a simple folk.

As @Ereo said, the developer is working on another game which has a similar art and play style, called Haunted Chocolatier. Here's a post about it: https://forums.stardewvalley.net/th...concernedape-about-haunted-chocolatier.10313/ but there are many other mentions of it in the Forums, just Search! Based on how game development goes, my personal expectation is 2024 at the earliest, so you may want to explore other options in the meantime.

Modding Stardew Valley is a very popular pastime here to get more content out of the game, perhaps try Stardew Valley Expanded to start? I haven't done this yet as I'm still whacking my way through abusing the regular content in the game, but see the Modding section of the Forums here for some ideas!

This isn't a direct answer to your question (since it's already been answered), but if/when you reach the point of not having anything more to do on your farm, consider starting over! It's fun to see how different early-game feels when you know what you're doing. Also, you can try challenges, like not using a certain skill, focusing on specific things that you didn't use much in your first run, finishing X in Y time (year 1 community center is a popular one), building X number of a certain building, speedruns, etc.
