Solved Multiplayer Lag

Hello, so me and my friends w/mods such as Ridgeside, SVE and several other QOL mods

The problem is whoever (yes, each of us tried hosting) hosts the game, he or she doesn't lag at all but the other players that would be joining the game would suffer from lags such as:

- not being able to collect stuff off ground (needs to wait for like a minute or something)

- time DESYNC (example, host's time in game is 11:00 AM and the other players time would be at 8:20 AM. Think of it like the person lagging is watching a replay of the host at that specific time) even if we are in the same game.

The only fix that worked was to use mobile data and well, data is limited so it is not optimal. I can also confidently say I have decent wifi and yet I also lag ( when I join their hosted world) so I don't think it is entirely the wifi speed problem (?)

Any way to fix or troubleshoot this? I have seen others with similar problem but w/ no fix yet

Mods installed is below vv

could you get your friend's ip-address (just type "what's my IP" into google) and use this command in the command promt:
ping IP-ADDRESS -n 1
(replace IP-ADDRESS with your friends IP)

this will allow me to figure out if the game is lagging due to the mods, or due to high/poor internet traffic

I also asked my friend to ping my ip address but it is the same as above, a 100% loss

So it is most likely a networking error between you and your friend. There might be an alternative. An app called Hamachi. People usually use it to play LAN multiplayer Minecraft with their friends, but the app might work with SDV. Ti might look sketchy with the badly designed UI, but I use it all of the time. Just have you and your friend download it. You can then create a lobby, and you can share the lobby name and password with your friend.
